Remove the engine enclosure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Enclosure - Remove".
Remove the bottom guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Bottom Guard - Remove and Install".Note: Put identification marks on all hoses, on all hose assemblies, on all harness assemblies, and on all tube assemblies for installation purposes. Plug all hose assemblies and all tube assemblies. This helps to prevent fluid loss, and this helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Release the system pressure. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "System Pressure - Release".

Install Tooling (A) onto the hydraulic tank. Attach an air supply hose onto Tooling (A). Apply 138 kPa (20 psi) of air. This procedure will pull a vacuum on the hydraulic system.

Remove bolts (4). Repeat this step for the opposite side.
Reposition refrigerant condenser (3) out of the way. Disconnect hoses (1) and (2) .

Disconnect hose assembly (5). Disconnect hose (6) .

Disconnect harness assembly (8).
Remove bolt (7). Repeat this step for the opposite side.

Disconnect hose assembly (9). Disconnect hose (10) .

Disconnect clip (11). Disconnect hose assembly (12) .

Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to cooling package (13). The weight of cooling package (13) is approximately 277 kg (610 lb).
Remove bolts (14). Repeat this step for the opposite side.
Use Tooling (B) and the suitable lifting device in order to remove cooling package (13) .

Remove washers (15) and the grommets.
