Release the system pressure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "System Pressure - Release".
Remove the side panels. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Side Panel - Remove".
Remove the hood. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hood - Remove".
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Personal injury can result from hot oil.At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil tank is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns.Remove the fill plug only when the engine is stopped, and the fill plug is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin.
Drain the hydraulic system into a suitable container for storage or disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Capacities - Refill" for the capacity of the hydraulic tank. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil - Change".

Remove bolts (1) and mounts (2). Remove grill (3) .

Remove horn (4) and the bracket.

Remove bolts (6). Place refrigerant condenser (7) toward the front of the machine.

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to the hydraulic oil cooler and transmission oil cooler (9). The weight of the hydraulic oil cooler and transmission oil cooler (9) is approximately 36 kg (80 lb).
Remove bolt (8). Disconnect hose (10). Repeat this step on the opposite side of the hydraulic oil cooler and transmission oil cooler (9) .
Disconnect hose (11). Repeat for the other side of the hydraulic oil cooler and transmission oil cooler (9) .
Use Tooling (A) and the suitable lifting device in order to remove the hydraulic oil cooler and transmission oil cooler (9) .
