1. RAISE all lowered implements, enough to clear any obstructions. 2. Push DOWN on the brake pedal, to keep the machine from moving. 3. Pull UP to disengage the transmission/parking brake lock lever. 4. Move the transmission control lever to the desired direction and speed.5. RELEASE the brake pedal. 6. Move the governor control lever to the desired engine speed (RPM).If the machine is inoperable, and must be moved, contact your Caterpillar dealer to assist in moving the machine.Special tooling is required to release the brakes on the machine. The machine cannot be moved with the brakes applied. Brakes are in the ON position when engine is OFF.To Change Travel Direction
Gear and directional shifts at full engine speed are possible. However, for operator comfort and maximum service life of power train components, decelerating and/or braking is recommended.1. Decrease engine speed by pushing the governor control in, or pushing the decelerator. 2. Move the transmission control lever to NEUTRAL. 3. Push the brake pedal. 4. Shift the transmission to the desired direction and speed.5. Release the brake pedal.6. Increase the engine speed by releasing the decelerator pedal, or pulling back on the governor lever.Normal Steering
