When submitting claim for Parts Stock Action, Use the appropriate 99Z as the s/n, the appropriate Service Letter Program Number as the Part number in the Part Causing Failure field, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Description Code.
The information supplied in this service letter may not be valid after the termination date of this program.Do not perform the work outlined in this Service Letter after the termination date without first contacting your Caterpillar product analyst.

PROBLEM
322-3155 Engine Oil Filters with a date code of "UMNKUA" (12 JUL 2015) or "NUNMUL" (01 Feb 2016) may have a manufacturing issue which may be detrimental to the health of the engine.
This only affects 322-3155 Engine Oil Filters with a date code of "UMNKUA" (12 JUL 2015) or "NUNMUL" (01 Feb 2016).
322-3155 Engine Oil Filters that do not have the "UMNKUA" (12 JUL 2015) or "NUNMUL" (01 Feb 2016) date code are okay to use.
ACTION REQUIRED
Inspect all 322-3155 Engine Oil Filters in dealer parts stock.
If the date code is "UMNKUA" (12 JUL 2015) or "NUNMUL" (01 Feb 2016))(Image 1), remove the filter from dealer part stock.
If the date code is NOT "UMNKUA" (12 JUL 2015) or "NUNMUL" (01 Feb 2016), mark it as being inspected according to this program and return the filter to dealer part stock.
The date code uses the NUMERALKOD date code method and the code can be interpreted by substituting the appropriate number for each letter as shown below. The sequence for the code is DDMMYY (day-month-year)
