Disconnect hose assemblies (8), (9), and (10).

Disconnect grease hose assembly (11).

Disconnect grease hose assembly (12).
Attach a suitable lifting device to boom cylinder (14). The weight of boom cylinder (14) is approximately 218 kg (480 lb).
Remove bolts (13), the plate, and the shims.

Use Tooling (B) and a suitable hammer to drive pin assembly (15) out of boom cylinder (14).
Remove bolt (17), pin (16), and boom cylinder (14).

Use a suitable lifting device to install Tooling (C). The weight of Tooling (C) is approximately 102 kg (225 lb).

Remove plate (18).

Use a suitable lifting device to position Tooling (D) onto Tooling (E). The weight of Tooling (D) is approximately 209 kg (460 lb).
Position Tooling (D), Tooling (E), and suitable cribbing under the rear of upper frame (19).
Connect Tooling (F) to Tooling (A) and Tooling (E).
Remove the swivel. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, " Swivel - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
Release the parking brake. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, " Parking Brake Manual Release" for the correct procedure.

Disconnect grease hose assembly (20).
Repeat Step 22 for the opposite side.

Mark the orientation of upper frame (19), swing bearing (21), and undercarriage frame (23).
If service is to be performed to the swing bearing, remove bolts (22). If not, remove bolts (24).

Note: The weight of the upper frame and the undercarriage frame will vary depending on the attachments. The weights that are listed below are only approximations.
Carefully, raise upper frame (19) from undercarriage frame (23) using Tooling (D), Tooling (E), and Tooling (F) in 19.0 mm (0.75 inch) increments. The weight of the upper structure is approximately 14062 kg (31000 lb).

Use a suitable towing device and slowly pull undercarriage frame assembly (23) away from the upper frame (19). The weight of undercarriage frame assembly (23) is approximately 4989 kg (11000 lb).
