The speed switch in the Marine Monitoring System II (MMS II) and the Generator Monitoring System (GMS) requires a speed pickup that has a power supply. This requirement is met with the 208-5469 Speed Sensor .The 208-5469 Speed Sensor is nonserviceable as a group. The individual parts within the group must be ordered separately. The connector plug must be installed onto the speed sensor cable. Table 1 lists the parts that are required.

This illustrates a speed sensor cable. The connector kit (1) is installed on the cable end. (1) 155-2260 Connecting Plug Kit (2) speed sensor cable (cut to desired length) (3) 194-6734 Speed Sensor In early production engines, a Sure-Seal 4-pin connector was used on the cable end and on the sensor end. Current production engines use a Deutsch DT Style Connector. The DT Connector can be installed on the early production engines in order to allow the speed sensor to function. The cable end of the speed switch can be changed to the Deutsch DT Style Connector by using the parts in Table 2.
