Install a suitable lifting strap on the front lifting eye on the engine. Use lifting equipment to support the weight of the engine.Note: When the following procedure is performed, do not disconnect the hoses.
Remove the compressor from the mounting bracket. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, SENR5664, "Refrigerant Compressor - Remove and Install".
Place the compressor on the floor of the machine. Make sure that the hoses are relaxed.
Remove the washers from the bolts (7) and keep the washers for use during installation of the compressor.Installation
Apply 4C-4030 Thread Lock to the bolts (7) .
Attach the plate (8) and the plate (1) to the engine with the two bolts (7) and the washers that were kept during removal. Tighten the two bolts to a torque of 100 20 N m (74 15 lb ft).
Position the plate (2) on the plate (1) and then install the bolt (3), two washers (4) and the nut (5). Do not tighten the nut.
Position the compressor on the plates (1 and 2) and then install the bolt (6), two washers (4) and the nut (5). Do not tighten the nut.
Install the bolt (3), two washers (4) and the nut (5) through the compressor and the plate (2). Tighten the bolt to a torque of 60 12 N m (44 9 lb ft).
Install the drive belt on the compressor pulley.
Use a suitable wrench with a square drive in the plate (2) to adjust the tension of the drive belt. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, SENR5664, "Refrigerant Compressor - Test".
Tighten the bolts (3 and 6) to a torque of 60 12 N m (44 9 lb ft).
Remove the lifting equipment and the lifting strap from the engine.
