Removal Procedure
Accidental machine starting can cause injury or death to personnel working on the machine.To avoid accidental machine starting, turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position and remove the key. If the machine is not equipped with a battery disconnect switch, disconnect the battery cables from the battery and tape the battery clamps.Place a do not operate tag at the battery disconnect switch location to inform personnel that the machine is being worked on.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

Remove bolts (1) and open panel (2) to access the batteries.

Remove bolts (5), washers (4), and spacers (3).

Loosen nuts (6) and disconnect cable assemblies (7)

Loosen nuts (9) and remove cable assemblies (8)

Remove bolts (10) and bracket (11). Repeat for the other bracket if required.

Use two people to remove battery (12). The weight of each battery (12) is approximately 44 kg (97 lb). Remove battery (12).Installation Procedure
Install battery (12) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten bolts (10) to a torque of 6.8 1.4 N m (60.2 12.4 lb in).
Tighten nuts (9) and (6) to a torque of 7.2 1.6 N m (63.7 14.2 lb in).
