Information:
Start By:a. separate track assemblies1. Start the machine, and swing it to the left or right 90 degrees. 2. Fasten a lifting strap and a hoist to cover assembly (2) as shown. Remove seven bolts (1) and the washers that hold the cover assembly in position. Remove the cover assembly. The weight of the cover assembly is 66 kg (145 lb). 3. Raise the side of the machine. Put Tooling (A) in position under the undercarriage frame assembly as shown.
At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil tank is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. To prevent possible personal injury, release the pressure in the implement hydraulic circuits (boom, stick and bucket) before any hydraulic lines or components are disconnected or removed.
4. Release the pressure in the hydraulic system as follows: a. Fully retract the rod in the stick cylinder.b. Adjust the position of the bucket so it will be flat on the ground when the boom is lowered.c. Lower the boom until the bucket is flat on the ground.d. Shut off the engine, and put the hydraulic activation control lever in the "Lock" position.e. Move the control levers for the boom, bucket, stick and swing through their full travel strokes. This will relieve any pressure that may be present in the pilot system.f. Slowly loosen the air breather cap on the hydraulic oil tank to release the pressure.g. Tighten the air breather cap on the hydraulic oil tank.h. The pressure in the hydraulic system has now been released. Lines and components can now be removed.5. Drain the oil from the hydraulic oil tank into a suitable container for storage or disposal. The capacity of the hydraulic oil tank is 780 liters (203 U.S. gal). 6. Disconnect two hose assemblies (3) from the travel brake valve.7. Disconnect two hose assemblies (4) from the travel motor.8. Put plugs in hose assemblies (3) and (4) to keep dirt and debris out of the hydraulic system. 9. Fasten two suitable lifting cables and a hoist to track roller frame assembly (5) as shown. 10. Remove the four bolts and washers that hold cover assembly (6) in position. Remove the cover assembly. 11. Remove 24 bolts (7) and the spacers that hold the track roller frame assembly to the undercarriage frame assembly. Remove the track roller frame assembly. The weight of the track roller frame assembly is 6804 kg (15000 lb). The following steps are for the installation of the track roller frame assembly.12. Make sure the mounting surfaces on the track roller frame assembly and the undercarriage frame assembly are thoroughly clean.13. Fasten two lifting cables and a hoist to track roller frame assembly (5). Put the track roller frame assembly in position on the undercarriage frame assembly.14. Install the 24 spacers and bolts (7) that hold the track roller frame assembly to the undercarriage frame assembly. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 2800 350 N m (2065 258 lb ft).15. Reinstall cover (6) and the
