This Program can only be administered after a failure occurs.The decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS52615" as the Part Numberand "7755" as the Group Number. Use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
The information supplied in this service letter may not be valid after the termination date of this program.Do not perform the work outlined in this Service Letter after the termination date without first contacting your Caterpillar product analyst.
This Revised Service Letter replaces the 11Feb2014 Service Letter. A change has been made to the Mail Codes.

This is an initial order recommendation only, and the ultimate responsibility for ordering the total number of parts needed to satisfy the program lies with the dealer.
ACTION REQUIRED
During the installation of the new gasket (2), replace the four standard nuts (1) that are used to secure the exhaust bypass valve with four 168-7800 Locknuts.
1. Clean the stud, the locknut, and the base of the locknut prior to assembly.
2. Tighten two diagonal locknuts. Tighten to 25 +/- 6 N.m (18 +/- 4 lb ft).
3. Tighten the remaining locknuts. Tighten to 25 +/- 6 N.m (18 +/- 4 lb ft).
4. Tighten all four locknuts again. Tighten to 47 +/- 9 N.m (35 +/- 7 lb ft).
