Lower the cab safely. Locate right-hand console assembly (V) inside the cab of the machine.
Remove plug (W) on the fifth position from front to rear on switch cover assembly. from right-hand console assembly (V).
Pull the connector from the panel harness assembly and plug rocker switch assembly (9) onto the connector.
Insert rocker switch assembly (9) connection through the newly open slot on right-hand console assembly (V) until the tabs on the switch engage into place.

Locate cover assembly (X) from the relay and fuse panel on the rear cab liner near the right-hand side of the machine. Remove cover assembly (X) and retain.

Install relay assembly (3) onto the fourth position R4 of the lower fuse and relay panel. Reinstall cover assembly (X).Configuring the Ride Control Feature
Note: Ensure that the machine ECM has the latest software available installed. The Ride Control feature requires latest software mentioned under 361-6395 Machine Electronic Control Module.
To enable the Ride Control feature in the Cat Electronic Technician (ET) service tool, connect the appropriate communication device onto the communication port inside the fuse panel.Note: ET service tool 2015A (or higher) is recommended.
With the engine stopped, switch the engine start switch to ON. Then, open the ET service tool.

Select "Service" from the toolbar. Then, select "Machine Configuration" from the drop-down menu.

Change the "Ride Control System Installation "Status" from "Not Installed" to "Installed".

The Cat ET service tool will bring up a password screen and display the required information to retrieve a password.
Click the https://fps.cat.com link on the Cat ET screen to access the Cat Factory Password System (FPS). Enter the required information on the corresponding fields to obtain and record the password.
The Ride Control feature should now be enabled. Turn the engine start switch to OFF for at least 30 seconds. Then, turn the engine start switch back ON. The Ride Control feature should be activated in the next power cycle.

Return to the "Machine Configuration" option of the Cat ET screen and ensure that the "Ride Control System Installation Status" is set to "Installed".
