1. Drain the oil from the transmission and hydraulic tank.2. Disconnect all of the hoses from transmission pump (2).3. The weight of transmission pump (2) is approximately 45 kg (100 lb). Use two persons to remove it.4. Remove bolts (1) and the transmission pump (2) from the pump drive. Remove the O-ring seal from the pump. The following steps are for the installation of the transmission pump.5. Put the O-ring seal in position on transmission pump (2). Put the transmission pump in position on the pump drive, and install bolts (1) that hold it. Hose (3) is from the top of the hydraulic tank. Hose (4) is from the transmission lube filter. Hose (5) is from the transmission charge filter. Hose (6) is from the side of the hydraulic tank. Hose (7) is from the transmission magnetic screen.6. Connect hoses (3), (4), (5), (6) and (7) to the transmission pump as shown.7. Fill the transmission and hydraulic tank with oil to the correct level. See the Maintenance Guide.Disassemble Transmission Pump
Start By:a. remove transmission pump 1. Remove bolts (14) and (12). Set the pump on end.2. Remove cover (7). Remove the O-ring seal from the cover.3. Remove two gears (3) and key (8).4. Remove body (2) and the O-ring seal from the body (10).5. Remove two gears (4) and key (9).6. Remove body (10), and remove the O-ring seal from it.7. Remove gears (5) and (13). Remove body (11), and remove the O-ring seal from manifold (6).8. Remove the dowels from bodies (2) and (11).9. Remove the bearings from cover (7), body (10) and manifold (6).10. Remove seal (1) from cover (7).Assemble Transmission Pump
1. Install the four dowels in body (2) and the four dowels in body (11). Install the dowels until they extend 5.0 0.5 mm (.20 .020 in) from the surfaces.2. Install the bearings in cover (7), body (10) and manifold (6). Make sure bearing joints (15) and (16) are 30° 15° from the centerline of the two bearings toward the outlet side of the pump. Install the bearings until they are 1.50 0.25 mm (.060 .010 in) below the surfaces as shown.3. Check the diameter of the bearings. The diameter of the bearings must be 31.786 0.008 mm (1.2514 .0003 in) after installation.4. Install lip-type seal (1) in cover (7) with the sealing lip to the outside as shown.5. Put gear (5) and (13) in position in manifold (6).6. Put the O-ring seal and body (11) in position on manifold (6).7. Put the two O-ring seals in position on body (10), and put body (10) in position on body (11).8. Put key (9) in position in the shaft of gear (5). Put two gears (4) in position on
