Start By:
Separate the tracks. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Tracks - Separation".
Support the machine on Tooling (A). Rest the bucket on the ground.

Note: Some oil will drain from the cavity of the pivot shaft when cover (1) is removed from track roller frame (2). Prepare to dispose of the oil correctly.
Remove the four bolts and cover (1) .

Remove the four bolts and plate (3) from the pinion shaft.

Install Tooling (C) on the track roller frame in the threaded holes. Install Tooling (B) on both sides of the rear of track roller frame (2). Support the track roller frame assembly with a hoist.

Remove the bolt from pin (5) .

Note: The front seal for the equalizer bar pin bore can be damaged during the removal of pin (5). To avoid damage, put a plate between the inside diameter of the seal and the inside front edge of the track roller frame. This will prevent the metal ring from separating from the rubber.
Position a plate (6) between seal (7) and the inside edge of track roller frame (2) .

Install Tooling (D) into the threaded hole in pin (5). Position two suitable spacer blocks (8) between Tooling (D) and the track roller frame.
Use Tooling (D) to remove pin (5). Remove Tooling (D), plate (6) and spacer blocks (8) .
Remove the track roller frame assembly from the pinion shaft and the equalizer bar. The track roller frame assembly weighs 198 kg (437 lb).

Check the condition of the seal (9) on the pinion shaft. If necessary, replace the seal.
Remove plate (10) from pinion shaft bore (2) in the track roller frame. Check the condition of bearings (11) and (13). If necessary, replace bearings (11) and (13). To remove bearings (11) and (13), use tooling (E) .Note: Lower the temperature of bearings (11) and (13) before installing into track roller frame (2) .
Remove Tooling (B) and (C) from track roller frame (2) .
