In order to access the status groups, follow the procedure that is listed below.
Select the "Information" tab on the menu bar in Cat ET.
Click "Status" or click the "Status" icon on the tool bar.The status groups should be used in order to verify that the installation of the PLE601 module has been successful. There are only four screens available in Cat ET for verifying and servicing the PLE601 system.Software installation

The PLE601 Network Manager is configured automatically for the services selected in the web-based service management tool in Product Link Web. Your Caterpillar dealer administrator will be notified when your device is on-line and ready to have services enabled. Once the dealer selects the desired services, the configuration will be sent over the air and the device will be configured in order to provide the proper data at the proper frequency for the service in Product Link Web.Consult with your dealers Product Link specialist for additional details in assisting you for the right data service to meet your needs. Service starts with basic equipment management features providing hour, location monitoring, health, and utilization.Initial Setup

Log in to Product Link Web.
Select "Control Center" from the primary navigation bar.

Search for the desired PLE640 installed equipment.
Confirm proper customer ownership.
Select the desired services. Note: – Ensure that power is disconnected from the equipment during installation of the PLE640 Product LinkTM system.
Find a suitable location for the installation of the Network Manager. Remember that the Network Manager must be installed within 1 m (3.2 ft) of the CAN datalink.
Find a suitable location for the installation of the Cellular Radio. The cellular radio needs to have clear line of site to the sky in order to relay accurate GPS information. For stationary units located in a building, the radio can be mounted without clear line of site to the sky, but may not report GPS location. Remember that the Cellular Radio must be installed within 100 m (328.0 ft) of the Network Manager.
Connect the retrofit harness to the Network Manager. Connect the open wires on the retrofit harness to your piece of equipment. Connecting the open wires can be done either by adding T connectors to your equipment, or by splicing into the appropriate wires. See Table 16 for information on the eight wires that
