21. Remove washer (38), spring (39) and washer (37) from cylinder block (27). 22. Remove two covers (41) from housing (40). 23. Remove shims (44), O-ring seal (42) and spacer (43) from both sides of the housing. 24. Remove cup (46) and cone (45) from both sides of the housing. 25. Remove yoke (47) from housing (40). 26. Remove seat (48) and pin (49) from yoke (47). 27. Remove seat (50) and spring (51) from the housing. Remove shaft (28).28. Use a press and tool (C), and remove the bearing cone from shaft (28). 29. Remove snap ring (54) with tool (B), and remove seal (53). 30. If necessary, remove cup (55) with tooling (A).Assemble Implement Pump
1. Clean and inspect all parts. Replace all parts that are damaged or worn. Put clean oil on all of the internal parts of the pump. Replace all O-ring seals, gaskets and shaft seals. 2. If cup (2) was removed from the housing, use tool (A) to install the cup in housing (1). 3. Install seal (3) with tool (A), and install snap ring (4) with tool (B). 4. Use a press and pipe (1" I.D. × 1 3/8" O.D. × 21/2" long) (7) to install cone (6) on shaft (5). Put tape around the splines on shaft (5) to avoid damaging the shaft seal when the shaft is installed.5. Put shaft (5) in position in housing (1).6. Install ring (9) and seat (8) in the housing. 7. Install pin (12) and seat (11) on yoke (10). 8. Put yoke (10) in position in housing (1). If the yoke or yoke bearings have been replaced, a preload adjustment is necessary. No preload adjustment is necessary if the original yoke and bearings are used.9. Check preload adjustment as follows:a. Install bearing cones (14) and bearing cups (13) in both sides of housing (1). b. Put spacer (15) and O-ring seal (16) in position on one side of housing (1). c. Put a 0.25 mm (.010 in.) shim and cover (17), and install bolts (18). Tighten bolts (18) to a torque of 20 0.6 N m (180 5 lb.in.). d. Install spacer (19).e. Push down on spacer (19), and rotate the yoke back and forth to seat bearings.f. With spacer (19) seated against the bearing, measure the height of the spacer from housing face (X) in two places 180° apart and average the measurements. A 0.18 to 0.23 mm (.007 to .009 in.) preload is required on the yoke bearings.g. Calculate the necessary shims to provide this preload as follows. Assume the depth readings were 0.74 mm (.029 in.) and 0.69 mm (.027 in.). Add the two figures together, and divide by two to obtain the average. In this case the average is 0.71 mm (.028 in.). Subtract the preload of 0.20 mm (.008 in.) from the average to get the required shim thickness. If required shim thickness is greater than 0.51 mm (.020 in.) another shim must be added to the
