At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil tank is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. Remove the fill plug only when the engine is stopped and when the fill plug is cool enough to touch with your bare hands.
Identify all hydraulic lines as they are removed for reinstallation purposes. Cap and plug all lines and fittings to prevent any contaminants from entering the hydraulic system. 1. Connect a hose to valve (1) and drain hydraulic tank (2). The capacity of the hydraulic tank is 117.5 liters (31 gallons). 2. Remove four cab mount bolts (4). 3. Remove two bolts (5) and (6) from each side of the machine. Insert bolt (5) into the center hole to allow the cab to pivot.
Typical Example4. Use a puller (A) to raise the cab as shown. 5. Install the two bolts (6) to lock the cab in position. 6. Disconnect six hydraulic lines (7) from the hydraulic tank. Cap or plug immediately. Mark or identify all hose assemblies for later installation. 7. Disconnect nine hydraulic lines (11) from the hydraulic tank. Cap or plug immediately. Mark or identify all hose assemblies for later installation.8. Disconnect two electrical connections (8) (10) and one clip (9).
Typical Example9. Attach a lifting device to Tool (B) and use Tool (B) to support the weight of the tank. 10. Remove four nuts and washers (12) from straps (3). Remove straps (3) and lift the tank out of the machine. The weight of the hydraulic tank is 105 kg (230 lb). The following steps are for the installation of the hydraulic tank.11. Use a lifting device, as shown in Step 9 and position the tank on the machine. Install two straps (3) and fasten the straps with four nuts and washers (12).12. Install two electrical connections (8), (10) and clip (9).13. Install fifteen hydraulic lines (7) and (11) on the hydraulic tank.14. Lower the cab with puller (A).15. Install bolts (5) and (6) back into the operating position as shown in Photo C55320P1.16. Install four cab mount bolts (4).17. Fill the hydraulic tank to the correct operating level.
