PROBLEM
The former standard 141-9808 or 251-4363 Rim Assembly, may crack and need to be replaced on certain 988G and 988H Wheel Loaders. The rim may crack at the welded lug stops for the rim driver, block at the valve stem, or center rim section. These cracks may cause the tire to lose inflation pressure.

ACTION REQUIRED
If the tire is losing air pressure, inspect the welded lug stops for cracks. Also inspect the area around the valve stem. If cracks are found, replace the cracked rim with a new rim, new flanges, and new shorter bolts and washers. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly Manual for your machine, "Tire and Rim - Remove and Install". When installing the new rim, tighten the 32 bolts to 1000 +/- 125 N.m (740 +/- 90 lb.-ft).
