Schematic for the Suspension System (1) Hydraulic oil tank (2) Pump (3) Relief valve (4) Suspension control valve (5) Front suspension cylindersThe front suspension system allows the machine weight to be distributed evenly between the three front tires. The suspension system consists of pump (2), relief valve (3), suspension control valve (4) and front suspension cylinders (5) .The suspension system is used to raise the machine. The suspension system is also used to lower the machine. To raise the machine, start the engine and move the suspension switch to the RAISE position. To lower the machine, turn the key switch to ON and move the suspension switch to the LOWER position.Pump (2) receives oil from hydraulic oil tank (1). From the pump, the oil flows to suspension control valve (4). The oil will flow to front suspension cylinders (5) or the oil will flow back to the hydraulic oil tank. This depends on the position of the control switch for the suspension system. The valve spool allows the oil to be directed through an orifice to the hydraulic oil tank when suspension control valve (4) is in the spring hold position.

(2) Pump (6) Relief valvePump (2) and relief valve (6) are located under the platform and on top of the transmission. The pump receives oil from the hydraulic oil tank. The pump is driven off the steering and brake pump.

(5) Front suspension cylindersFront suspension cylinders (5) are located at the front of the machine under the front cover. The suspension cylinders allow the machine weight to be distributed evenly between the three front tires.

(7) Control switch for the suspension systemSwitch (7) that is used to control suspension is moved to the front position in order to lower the suspension. The middle position is used in order to hold the suspension in position. The rear position is used in order to raise the suspension.

(4) Suspension control valve Suspension control valve (4) is located on the left side of the machine under the platform. The suspension control valve is a solenoid operated control valve that allows the suspension cylinders to activate.Pump

The pump turns counterclockwise when you are looking at the rear of the pump.Oil is drawn into the pump through the inlet port by drive gear (9) and driven gear (12). Oil circulates around the gears and the oil is then sent through the outlet port to the suspension control valve. Front bearings (12) and rear bearings (10) support the gears. The bearings prevent axial play. Relief valve (11) allows oil to flow in a loop and flow back to the inlet of the pump.Suspension Control Valve
