Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the mounting bracket. Refer to Service Manual, "Mounting Bracket - Remove and Install".
Hot oil and components can cause personal injury.Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before operating any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.After collecting all fluids in suitable containers, dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Position the work tool in an upright position, as shown. The work tool should only be positioned in this manner on a solid, level surface. If a solid level surface is not available, lay the work tool on a side.
Put identification marks on all hoses for installation purposes. Plug all hoses in order to help prevent fluid loss and contamination of the fluid system.

Remove two bolts (1) and the washers that secure coupling (2). Repeat this step for the other coupling.

Disconnect two lines (3) from swivel (4). Note the stampings near the inlet ports on the swivel. The O stamping is for the circuit that retracts the cylinder. The B stamping is for the circuit that extends the cylinder. The ports should be installed with the same orientation.

Remove two bolts and the washers that secure lock (5) to the lower housing. Remove the lock.
Remove the six bolts and the washers that secure lock plate (6) to the swivel. Remove the plate from the work tool.

Remove the eight bolts, the washers, and the four half flanges that secure two hose assemblies (7) to swivel (4). Remove the O-ring seals from the hoses.

Attach an appropriate nylon lifting sling and a hoist to swivel (4). The weight of the swivel is 43 kg (95 lb).
Remove the six bolts and the washers that secure ring (8) to the upper housing. Remove the swivel from the work tool.

Remove two adapters (9). Remove the seal and the O-ring seal from each adapter.
Remove the six bolts and the washers that secure ring (8) to the swivel. Remove the ring from the swivel.
