Separate the governor and governor drive. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Governor and Governor Drive - Separate".
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove seat (3), spring (2), and spring washer (1).

Remove retainer ring (4) from seat (5).

Remove dowel (6). Separate seat (5) from the weight assembly.

Remove washers (9), spring (7), and bolt (8) from seat (5).

Remove sleeve (10) and the bearing assembly from the cylinder and the weight assemblies.

Remove ring (11), races (13), and bearing (12) from sleeve (10).

Remove lockring (15) that holds weight assembly (16) to cylinder (14).
Remove weight assembly (16) from cylinder (14).

Remove valve (19), piston (18), and sleeve (17) from cylinder (14).
Remove O-ring seal (20) from sleeve (17).

Remove bracket (24) from housing (23).
Remove high idle screw (21), plug (22), and the gasket from housing (23).

Bend lock (28) away from bolt (25). Remove bolt (25) and lock (28).
Remove lever (26) and shaft (27) from the housing.
Use Tooling (A) in order to remove the plug and bearings (29) from housing (23).

Remove seal (30) from housing (23).
