At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil is hot and under pressure. Hot oils can cause burns.To prevent possible personal injury, release the pressure in the work tool hydraulic circuit (boom, stick, bucket, and swing), travel circuits, and the hydraulic oil tank at the filler cap before any hydraulic lines or components are disconnected or removed.Remove the filler cap only when the engine is stopped and the filler cap is cool enough to touch.
Start the engine.
Position the machine on level ground.
Lower the stabilizers, the blade tip, and/or the implement in order to raise the front axle and the rear axle. This will allow the wheels to turn freely. All tires must be fully off the ground.
Stop the engine.
Release the pressure in the hydraulic system. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Hydraulic System Pressure - Release".

Test Fitting for the "M7" Port on the Pilot Manifold (2) 6V-3965 Fitting As (TEST) (3) 3J-1907 O-Ring Seal
Remove port plug (1) from the "M7" port on the pilot manifold.
Assemble the test fittings for the "M7" port. Refer to Illustration 2.
Install the test fittings for the "M7" port on the pilot manifold.
Connect a 4000 kPa (580 psi) pressure gauge to the "M7" port.
Install 9U-7400 Multitach Tool Group on the drive shaft of the machine.
Start the engine.
Increase the hydraulic oil temperature to 55° 5°C (131° 9°F).

At the soft switch panel, disable AEC (4) by pushing down on the button. The indicator light will not be illuminated when the AEC is disabled.

Connect the Electronic Technician (ET) to service tool connector (6) of the machine.
Go to the "Diagnostics/Override Parameters" menu.

Adjust the current value at the "Travel Motor Swash Plate Angle Limit Solenoid Current Override" to 0.0 amperes.Test
Adjust the engine speed to LOW IDLE by turning the engine speed dial to position 1.Note: Do not activate any implements.
At the soft switch panel, push down on the button for transmission control (5) in order to select FIRST GEAR. The first indicator light will illuminate when the transmission is in FIRST GEAR.Note: The creeper speed control can be activated or deactivated.
Depress the travel speed pedal fully in the FORWARD position.
Increase the current value at the "Travel Motor Swash Plate Angle Limit Solenoid Current Override" to 0.110 ampere.
Monitor the drive shaft speed, and slowly increase the current value to the "Travel Motor Swash Plate Angle Limit Solenoid Current Override" by increments of 0.010 ampere until the drive shaft speed increases.
Record the pressure gauge reading at the "M7" port.Note: The drive shaft speed should increase when the pressure gauge reading at the "M7" port reaches approximately 550 50 kPa (80 7 psi).
If the pressure gauge reading at the "M7" port is not approximately 550 50 kPa (80 7 psi), adjust the destroke pressure adjustment screw on the travel motor.Adjust
