Typical Steering BoxWhen the pin bores in the steering box become worn, the bores cannot be repaired. If you weld on worn pin bores, the properties of the base metal will be adversely altered. A steering box with worn pin bores must be cut out of the frame and replaced with a new steering box. New steering boxes are available through the parts system. Refer to Table 1 for the part numbers and sales models. Order the Special Instruction that is referenced for installation procedures.
