2 1 348-2587 Camshaft Before installation of the camshaft, lubricate the cam bearings with clean engine oil.
Lubricate the camshaft lobes with a 50/50 mixture of 8T-2998 Lubricant and clean engine oil.

1. Measure camshaft lobe height (C).
2. Measure the base circle (D).
3. Subtract the base circle (D) from the camshaft lobe height (C). The difference is the actual camshaft lobe lift.
B - - Specified camshaft lobe lift for:
Inlet lobe is 9.431 mm (0.3713 inch).
Exhaust lobe is 8.515 mm (0.3352 inch).
Injector lobe is 10.908 mm (0.4294 inch).
