Replacement Parts
The following parts are part of the track assembly. The 144-0805 Track Bolt and 144-0806 Track Nut are not reusable and must be replaced. All other parts listed are only necessary if wear or damage is found.

Disconnect track (1). Remove the bolts that secure sprocket (2) to the final drive housing and remove the sprocket. Refer to the appropriate Disassembly and Assembly manual for the machine for specific instructions.
Raise the lower structure to aid in installation of the covers. Install cribbing or a jack stand to support the structure.

Clean the outside of the motor housing and in between the slots. The motor housing must be clean and free of contamination.

Place upper cover (4) into position on drive motor housing (5). Install two screws (3) using a hex wrench to turn the screws. Tighten the screws until they bottom out on the motor housing. Keep the cover as horizontal as possible during the positioning and installation.

Place bottom cover (7) into position and secure with two bolts (8) and washers (9). Tighten the bolts to 240 40 N m (177 30 lb ft).Note: Use one person to hold the cover into place and another to install and tighten the bolts.
Install two 144-5969 Screws into the lower cover until they bottom out on the motor housing. Adjust all four screws to center the covers onto the motor housing ensuring that the gaps are equal all along the circumference of the housing. Ensure that the covers are mated properly with the motor housing. Once the covers are properly centered, tighten the adjusting screws to 110 10 N m (81 7 lb ft). Ensure that the covers remain in place and are properly mated with the motor housing.

Install plate (10) at each adjusting screw. Apply a flare weld at two places to secure the plate to the screw.

Use a 3 mm fillet weld to secure angle (12) at location (D) as shown in Illustration 6. Weld angle (11) at location (C) in the same manner. The welded angles prevent axial movement of the covers.

Apply 420-5249 Sealant to the sprocket bolts. Lift sprocket (2) onto the final drive and install the bolts. Tighten the bolts to 2000 250 N m (1475 184 lb ft).
Install track (1) onto the sprocket. Refer to the appropriate Disassembly and Assembly manual for the machine for specific instructions.Note: The track bolts and track nuts are not reusable and must be replaced. Tighten the new hardware to 550 70 N m (405 52 lb ft), and then turn an additional 120 +/- 5 degrees.
Repeat the process for the other motor housing.
