Install the O-ring seal on the transmission housing. Apply clean power train oil on the O-ring seal.
Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to torque converter assembly (7). The weight of torque converter assembly (7) is approximately 190 kg (420 lb).
Use Tooling (A) and the suitable lifting device in order to install torque converter assembly (7) on the transmission and the output transfer gears.

Install bolts (10) that hold torque converter assembly (7) to the transmission and the output transfer gears. Tighten bolts (10) to a torque of 55 10 N m (40 7 lb ft).
Connect harness assembly (11) .

Install bolts (9) that hold torque converter assembly (7) to the transmission and the output transfer gears. Tighten bolts (9) to a torque of 55 10 N m (40 7 lb ft).

Install bolts (8) that hold torque converter assembly (7) to the transmission and the output transfer gears. Tighten bolts (8) to a torque of 55 10 N m (40 7 lb ft).

Use Tooling (A) and the suitable lifting device in order to position the torque converter, the transmission, and the output transfer gears in a horizontal position. The weight of the torque converter, the transmission, and the output transfer gears is approximately 1104 kg (2434 lb). Use Tooling (B) and suitable cribbing in order to support the torque converter, the transmission, and the output gears.
Remove Tooling (A) from the torque converter, the transmission, and the output gears.

Attach a suitable lifting device to transmission oil pump (4). The weight of transmission oil pump (4) is 30 kg (66 lb). Use the suitable lifting device in order to install transmission oil pump (4) .
Install bolts (1) that hold transmission oil pump (4) in place. Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 55 10 N m (40 7 lb ft).
Connect temperature sensor (3). Connect harness assembly (2) to the bracket.
Install tube assembly (5) and two bolts (6) (not shown), to transmission oil pump (4). Tighten bolts (6) to a torque of 100 20 N m (75 15 lb ft).End By: Install the torque converter, the transmission, and the output transfer gears as a unit. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Torque Converter, Transmission and Output Transfer Gears - Install".
