1. Assemble gear (1), bearings (3), shims (4) and bearing cage (5) on end plate (2). Tighten all bearing cage bolts.2. Position end plate so that bearing axis is in a vertical position.3. Rotate gear back and forth several times to seat rollers.4. Measure end play of gear with a dial indicator.5. End play must be 0.05 to 0.15 mm (.002 to .006 in).6. If the end play is too much, decrease the thickness of shims (4). If too little end play is indicated, increase the thickness of shims (4).
