Sudden movement of the machine or release of oil under pressure can cause serious injury to persons on or near the machine.To prevent possible injury, perform the procedure that follows before testing and adjusting the hydraulic system.

A     198-4240     Digital Pressure Indicator     1    Refer to Systems Operation, Testing And Adjusting, "Machine Preparation for Troubleshooting".Operate the engine in order to allow the temperature of the oil to increase in the cushion-hitch system. The cushion-hitch control switch must be in the OFF position. The load cylinder rod must be fully retracted.
Turn off the engine. Allow the machine to sit for five minutes in order to purge the accumulator.Note: The cushion-hitch control switch must be in the OFF position.

Cushion-Hitch Leveling Valve (1) Test port
Remove the dust cap from fitting (1) and attach Tooling (A) .
Start the engine and operate the engine at LOW IDLE rpm.
Observe the digital pressure indicator and continue to keep the cushion-hitch control switch in the OFF position. The reading on the digital pressure indicator must attain 16000 345 kPa (2321 50 psi) which is the pressure setting of the pump control valve.

Stop the engine. If the setting of the pump control valve on the cushion-hitch piston pump is incorrect, remove cover (2) .

Loosen locknut (3) and turn adjustment screw (4) clockwise for an increase in the pressure setting. Loosen the locknut and turn the adjustment screw counterclockwise for a decrease in the pressure setting.
Repeat step 3 through step 6 until the correct pressure has been obtained.
Tighten the locknut and install the cover.Note: Hold the adjustment screw while you tighten the locknut.
Remove the test equipment and the adapter.
