ACTION REQUIRED
Ensure that all safety information, warnings, and instructions are read and understood before any operation or any maintenance procedures are performed. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual "Safety Section".
Refer to the Service Manual if/as necessary.
- Park the machine on a hard level surface, and ground the bucket/tool. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual for additional information.
- Stop the engine and lock the hydraulic lockout control. Ensure that all residual pressure is removed. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "System Pressure - Release", for additional information.
- Refer to Image1 for location of the straight travel spool.
1. Disconnect any electrical connectors from the actuator housing. Remove the actuator housing in order to gain access to the straight travel spool. Refer to your machines serial number prefix, Disassembly and Assembly, "Main Control Valve - Disassembly - Swing", for additional information.
2. Remove and replace the existing straight travel spool with a new 346-7582 Stem Assembly.
3. Reinstall the actuator housing, with new seals, back onto the valve. Reinstall electrical connectors. Refer to your machines serial number prefix, Disassembly and Assembly, "Main Control Valve - Assembly - Swing", for additional information.
4. Perform the "Straight Travel Solenoid Minimum Current" calibration.
