( 2 ) The optional tools can be used in place of the required tools.
Park the machine on a smooth, horizontal surface.
Illustration 1 g01176672
Move propulsion lever (1) to the NEUTRAL position.
Illustration 2 g01176678
Move parking brake switch (2) to ON.
Stop the engine.
Illustration 3 g01176680
Near Steps on Right Side of Machine
Connect Tool (B) to front charge pressure tap (3). Connect Tool (B) to Tool (A) .
Illustration 4 g01176681
Start the engine. Move throttle switch (4) to the HIGH IDLE position. The engine speed should be 2000 50 rpm.
Illustration 5 g01176682
Operate the engine at HIGH IDLE. Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature on oil temperature gauge (5). Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches 43° 5.6°C (110° 10°F).
With propulsion lever (1) in NEUTRAL and the engine at HIGH IDLE, read the pressure on Tool (A). The pressure should be 2826 206 kPa (410 30 psi).Note: If the pressure is not within the specified range, adjust the charge pressure. Perform the procedure in, "Relief Valve (Charge, Front Propel Pump)Test and Adjust" in order to adjust charge pressure. Then, procede with the procedure in this story.
Illustration 6 g01176685
Rotate speed dial (6) to the minimum position.
Move parking brake switch (2) to OFF.
Move propulsion lever (1) slowly to the full FORWARD position.
Rotate speed dial (6) slowly in the clockwise direction and observe the pressure on Tool (A). As the machine begins to move, the pressure on Tool (A) should decrease by 70 to 480 kPa (10 to 70 psi).
Rotate speed dial (6) to the minimum position.
Move propulsion lever (1) slowly to the NEUTRAL position.
Read the pressure on Tool (A). The pressure should still be 2826 206 kPa (410 30 psi).
Move propulsion lever (1) slowly to the full REVERSE position.
Rotate speed dial (6) slowly in the clockwise direction and observe the pressure on Tool (A). As the machine begins to move, the pressure on Tool ( A) should decrease by 70 to 480 kPa (10 to 70 psi).
Rotate speed dial (6) to the minimum position.
Move propulsion lever (1) slowly to the NEUTRAL position.
Move parking brake switch (2) to the ON position.
Move throttle switch (4) to the LOW IDLE position. Stop the engine.
If the pressure in either the forward or the reverse test is outside the specified range, go to Step 23. If the pressure in the forward and reverse tests is inside the specified range, go to Step 24.
Repair the flushing relief valve or replace the flushing relief valve in one or both of the front propulsion motors. Retest the flushing relief pressure.
Remove the tooling.
