New piston pins made of the improved material are also used in the 6.25" Bore Engines.
--------------- END SUPPLEMENT ---------------Description of Change: The piston pins used in the above engines are now made of a different type steel, and are heat treated with a different procedure. This improves the hardness characteristics of the piston pin for longer service life.Adaptable As: The new piston pins are direct replacements for the former piston pins, which are canceled. Specific part numbers are shown in Parts Book Microfiche and the NPR (Numerical Parts Record).
