The following counters and events are defined in the Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET).Events and CountersThe counters that are recorded are listed below."Shift Counter" - The counter records the number of transmission shifts from each gear to any other gear. The maximum number of records is 1.28 million. A record is created when the position of the transmission gear switch changes and stays in the new position for at least 0.5 seconds. The information can be used in order to create a history of the shift patterns. The information can also be used for making comparisons in order to predict repairs before the failure and set maintenance schedules."Lockup Clutch Count" - This counter records each engagement of the transmission lockup clutch.
