Removal Procedure
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Move the machine forward or backward until the segment that will be removed is in the correct position.
Remove nuts (1) and the bolts. Remove sprocket segment (2) from the final drive.Installation Procedure
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

The surfaces of the sprocket segment and the final drive that make contact must be free of paint. If necessary, remove paint.
Put clean SAE 30W oil on the threads of the bolts.
Put sprocket segment (2) in position on the final drive. Install the bolts with the head of the bolts against the final drive. Install nuts (1). Tighten the nuts to a torque of 175 N m 40 N m (130 lb ft 30 lb ft). Tighten the nuts and additional one-third of a turn. The final torque must be a minimum of 380 N m (280 lb ft).
