PUMP GP-ENG OIL 0R4999 - Caterpillar

Start By:
Remove the carrier roller. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Track Carrier Roller - Remove" for the procedures to remove the carrier rollers.
Move the machine forward or backward until the track pins that will be removed are between the carrier roller and the front idler.

Put blocks (1) in position under the front of the track.
Put blocks (2) in position in order to support the track.

Remove three track shoes (3) over the track pins that will be removed.

Fasten a hoist to Tooling (A). Put Tooling (A) in position against track pin (4) .
Use Tooling (A) to push track pin (4) out of the track. Install one of Tooling (B) in order to hold the track together until the other track pin is removed.
Put Tooling (A) in position against track pin (5). Push track pin (5) out of the track, and install Tool (B) .
Remove Tooling (A) from the track.

Do not damage the face of the seals when the links are separated.
Put Tool (C) in position in link assembly (7), as shown. Use Tool (C) to spread apart the link assembly far enough in order to disconnect link assembly (7) from link assembly (6) .
Remove Tool (B), and move link assembly (6) away from link assembly (7) .

Put Tool (C) in position in link assembly (8), as shown.
Use Tool (C) to spread apart link assembly (8) far enough in order to remove link assembly (7). Remove Tool (B) and link assembly (7) .

Remove seals (9) and rings (10) from link assembly (7) .

Put the link assembly in position in Tooling (D), as shown.
Use Tooling (D) to remove link (11) from bushing (12) .

Use Tool (D) to remove link (13) from bushing (12) .
Remove the plugs and stoppers from the track pins.
