PUMP GP-HYD 0R7413 - Caterpillar

1. Remove six bolts and use two 3/8 NC forcing screws to remove cage (1) and shims under cage. 2. Place cage (1) on wooden blocks and use tooling (A) to remove the pinion assembly. 3. Remove snap ring (2) and O-ring seal (3) from cage (1). Use tooling (B) and remove lip-type seal (4). 4. Remove coupling (5) from pinion (6). Remove the ring from the inside diameter of coupling (5). 5. Remove O-ring (7) from pinion (6). 6. Use a press and tooling (C) to remove bearing (8) from pinion (6). 7. Remove snap ring (9) from pinion (6). 8. Use a press and tooling (D) to remove bearing (10) from pinion (6). 9. Remove six bolts (11) and washers. Use two 3/8forcing screws and remove cage (12). 10. Remove plug (13) and dowel pin (14) from cage (12). Use a press and tooling (B) to remove race (15) from the cage.Install Pinion
1. Install bearing (15) in cage (12) with tooling (A). Be sure that the hole in bearing (15) aligns with the pin hole in cage (12).2. Install pin (14) and a new plug (13) into cage (12). 3. Install cage (12) in the case. Apply No. 271 Loctite, (red anaerobic) to the threads of bolts (11). Install bolts (11) and washers and tighten the bolts to a torque of 55 7 N m (41 5 lb.ft.). 4. Heat bearing (10) to 135° C (275° F) and install on pinion (6). Install snap ring (9). Heat bearing (8) to 135° C (275° F) and install on the pinion. Lubricate O-ring seal (7) with SAE 30 oil and install on the pinion shaft. 5. Use tooling (A) and install lip-type seal (4) into cage (1). Install snap ring (2) and O-ring seal (3). Lubricate seals (3) and (4) with SAE 30 oil. 6. Install the pinion assembly in cage (1) and install the cage in the case. Install the ring in the inside diameter of coupling (5) and install coupling over the pinion. Install the shims between cage (1) and the case. Install six bolts (16).
