PUMP GP-HYD 0R7414 - Caterpillar

1. Remove fill and vent plate (1) from the top of the winch case.2. Remove the magnetic screen and plate from the winch case. 3. Disconnect tube (3) and remove two fittings (2) from the winch case. 4. Remove five bolts from cover (4). Use two 3/8 NC forcing screws and remove cover (4).5. Remove the shims under cover (4). Remove the O-ring seal from cover (4). 6. Remove spring (6) and spacer (5) from the winch case. 7. Remove shaft (9) and fork assembly (8) from the winch case. Remove boss (7) from the case. 8. Use tooling (E) and remove two bushings (10) from fork assembly (8). 9. Remove two bolts (12) and washers. Remove flange (13) and cylinder assembly (11) from the case. 10. Remove three nuts (14) and washers. Remove plate (15) from the winch case. 11. Remove O-ring seal (16) from cylinder assembly (11). Remove piston (18) and spring (17) from the cylinder assembly. Remove O-ring seal (19) from piston (18). 12. Remove bushing (20) from cylinder assembly (11). 13. Remove six bolts, and use two 3.8 NC forcing screws to remove cage (21) and shims. 14. Use tooling (A) and remove bearing cup (22) from cage (21). Remove O-ring seal (23). 15. Remove five bolts (24) and remove retainer (25). 16. Remove five springs (26) from the gear. 17. Slide coupler (28) onto gear (29). Support gear (27) to prevent it from falling into the bottom of the winch case. 18. Remove shaft (30) and bearing (31) from gears (27) and (29). Remove gear (27) and gear (29), and coupler (28) from the winch case. Remove the inside bearing cone (not shown). 19. Remove key (32) from shaft (30). Use tooling (B) and remove bearing cone (31). If it is necessary to remove the idler gear inside bearing cup, follow Steps 20 through 25. 20. Remove drum shaft nut (33) with tooling (C). Remove the washer. 21. Remove O-ring seal (34) from the drum shaft. Remove ten bolts from flange (35). Install two 3/8 NC forcing screws and remove flange (35). Keep the shims with the flange for use during installation.22. Put a wood block between the drum drive gear and the case to secure the drive gear so that it will not turn. 23. Remove two bolts and install two 1/2-13 NC guide pins through the drum drive gear and into the drum support flange. Remove the remainder of bolts (37) and remove ring (38). 24. Move drum drive gear (39) off the drum support spline to make clearance for removal of idler gear inside bearing cup (36).25. Remove bearing cup (36) from case assembly with tooling (D).
