Information:
Transmission hydraulic control (19) is located on top of the planetary transmission. Transmission modulating valves (22) and main relief valve (23) are contained in the transmission hydraulic control. Each of the five transmission clutches has a respective modulating valve with a solenoid. The modulating valves meter the oil that is used to control the operation of the transmission clutches.Transmission

Planetary transmission (4) is located inside the transmission case, which is inside the bevel gear case. The transmission transfers power from the engine to the final drives. Five hydraulically activated clutches provide three speeds FORWARD and three speeds REVERSE. Speed and direction are electronically selected by the operator. If the machine is equipped with Multi-Velocity Program (MVP), the machine has five speed ranges in the forward direction and five speed ranges in the reverse direction.Differential Steering System
The basic components of the differential steering system include the following items: a steering differential and brake unit, a planetary and brake unit, a hydraulic steering pump, a hydraulic steering motor and the steering controls. The steering differential and brake unit is mounted inside the bevel gear case behind the final drive on the left side of the machine. The planetary and brake unit is mounted inside the bevel gear case behind the final drive on the right side of the machine. These units transfer power from the bevel gear to the final drives in varying proportions. The input is based on the operator input from the steering control lever. Input from the steering control lever signals the steering pump to send oil to the steering motor. The steering motor acts on the steering differential and brake unit in order to vary the power to each final drive.Brake Control Valve

Brake control valve (13) is located beneath the plate that is under the operator seat. The brake control valve is mounted on the top of the bevel gear case. Oil that is metered by the brake control valve is used to control the function of the brakes during machine operation. The brake control valve is operated electrically by the ECM, which responds to the operator's movement of the brake pedal or the parking brake switch.Service Brakes
In order for the machine to be stopped or slowed, use the service brakes. The service brakes are engaged by internal springs, and disengaged by pressurized oil. The service brakes are located within the steering differential and brake unit and within the planetary and brake unit. These units are mounted inside the bevel gear case behind the final drives. Depressing the service brake pedal reduces the amount of oil to the brake piston. This partially engages the brake, which reduces the speed of the machine. Further depression of the service brake pedal will eliminate oil flow to the brake piston. This will allow the springs to fully engage the brakes.Transfer and Bevel Gears
