Introduction
This publication has been written in order to establish the proper procedure for installing the 344-0291 Hose As and a two-piece clip.Disassembly

Fuel lines group (1) 297-1546 Clip (2) 8M-2773 Clip (3) 245-7329 Plate (4) 244-4967 Hose As
Remove clip (1) and reinstall the bolt. Tighten the bolt to a torque of 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).
Remove clip (2) and plate (3) and discard both pieces.
Remove fuel hose (4) and discard the hose.Note: DO NOT reuse any of the clips that have been removed. Only use the two-piece clip for assembly.Assembly

Install new hose assembly (1) .

Install new two-piece clip (2). Use the existing bolt and the washer from the removal of the 245-7329 Plate . The clip consists of the following part numbers: 8T-1889 Clip , 8T-1890 Clip and 7V-6571 Grommet . Install the new clip and rotate the clip counterclockwise by 19 degrees from the vertical position. Refer to Illustration 3. Tighten the bolt to a torque of 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).
Verify that the hose does not have enough slack to rub against the oil gauge assembly or the cylinder head. The hose must not come in contact with oil gauge assembly or the cylinder head.

(3) Correct securing of the wiring harness for the inlet air temperature sensor

(4) Incorrect securing of the wiring harness for the inlet manifold temperature sensor
Check the clearance between the wiring for the inlet air temperature sensor and the new hose assembly. The wiring harness for the inlet air temperature sensor must have at least 25 mm (1 inch) of straight length at the sensor before securing the harness with a nylon tie to the body of the sensor. The wire harness must not come in contact with the hose assembly. Refer to Illustration 4 and Illustration 5.

(5) DO NOT reuse this clip. (6) Use this clip.
CAUTION!!! ONLY USE THE NEW TWO-PIECE CLIP AND GROMMET TO HOLD THE NEW HOSE IN PLACE.
