Illustration 1 g06321310The hydraulic fan motor is a bent axis fixed displacement piston type motor. The fan drive motor is mounted rearward of the radiator. Fan speed is increased or decreased depending on the inputs and outputs of the ECM. As hydraulic fluid temperature increases, the ECM increases the flow output from the fan pump. When the fan pump output increases, the fan motor speed also increases providing more air flow across the cooler group. The hydraulic fluid output from the fan motor flows to the oil cooler, the return filters, and then back to the hydraulic tank. Any internal leakage from the motor drains back to the hydraulic tank through the case drain filters.
