3. If additional tilt is required, the left brace may be adjusted. Shorten the brace to make left side of blade lower. Lengthen the brace to make the left side of blade higher. If the tilt brace length needs alteration, turn the handle to the left (counterclockwise), to lengthen it. Turn the handle to the right (clockwise), to shorten the brace. One Piece Tilt Brace (If Equipped)
The blade can be positioned to various angles with the following instructions. Position (1) is the extended position. Position (2) is the neutral position. Position (3) is the retracted position.1. Lower the blade to the ground and place the lift cylinder control in the float position.2. Actuate the tilt cylinder to remove all force from the tilt brace so that the rear pin between the tilt brace and the push arm is loose and can be freely removed. Turn off engine before Steps 3 and 4.3. Place wood strips under the edges of the tilt brace ears to maintain the holes in the tilt brace and the push arm bracket at the same elevation for ease of reassembly.4. Remove the retainer bolts, retainer, and pin at the tilt brace to push arm joint. Start engine.
Keep fingers clear. Do not place your fingers into the pin holes in the tilt brace or the push arm bracket at any time during the adjustment procedure. Turn off engine after Step 5.
5. Actuate the tilt cylinder to cause the tilt brace to slide forward or rearward on the push arm. A. Extending the tilt cylinder will slide the brace forward.B. Retracting the tilt cylinder will slide the brace rearward.6. Turn off engine. Align the holes in the tilt brace and push arm bracket and reassemble the pin, retainer and bolts into the desired location.Dozer Blade Tip (If Equipped)
Lengthen the left brace and extend the right cylinder to tip the blade forward. Shorten the left brace and retract the right cylinder to tip the blade back.Normal neutral position is 911 mm (36 in) from ball center to pin center.Fully tipped forward the dimension from ball center to pin center is 962 mm (38 in).Fully tipped back the dimension from ball center to pin center is 857 mm (33.74 in).Ripper Tips (If Equipped)
Replace ripper tips before wear occurs on the shank. Follow the replacement procedures given in the topic Ripper Tips under When Required in the Maintenance Section of this manual.Dozer Blade Angling
The blade can be positioned to various angles with the following instructions.1. Remove the lock pin from the retainer pin. (One on each side.)2. Remove the coupling retainer pins.3. Pull the coupling pin out of the housing.4. Position the blade at the desired angle.5. Install the coupling pins in the new positions.6. Install the coupling retainer pins.7. Install the lock pins.Tracks
If tracks are too tight or loose, wear of components is accelerated. If they appear too tight or too loose, adjust the track. Follow the adjustment procedures under the topic Tracks in the Maintenance Section of this manual.
