Washer Reservoir - The washer reservoir is located in the rear of the operator's compartment above the battery. Remove the bottle cap. Fill the reservoir with Caterpillar washer fluid to prevent system from freezing.Horn
Horn - Push the knob down to sound the horn. Use the horn to alert or to signal personnel.Back-up Alarm (If Equipped)
Back-up Alarm - The alarm sounds when the transmission control lever is in the REVERSE position. It is used to alert people behind the machine that it is backing up.The back-up alarm is located on the rear of the machine. A three position switch (high, low, and medium) at the rear of the back-up alarm regulates its volume.The alarm is set at the highest sound level when shipped from the factory. The setting should remain on high, unless the job-site requires a lower level.Heating Controls
Cab
Heating Variable (1) - This switch controls the heat desired. Turn the knob anywhere between LOW (left) and MAXIMUM heat (right). Fan Speed Switch - This switch (2) controls the three speed blower fan motor. Off - When the switch is in this position (centered), the blower fan motor is turned off. Low Speed - Move the switch to this position for low blower fan speed. Medium Speed - Move the switch to this position for medium blower fan speed. Defrost - Move the switch to this position for high blower fan speed.The heating system can perform three functions: Heating - Turn the blower fan switch to FIRST, SECOND or THIRD speed. Adjust the heating control for the desired temperature. Pressurizing - Pressure inside of the cab will help keep dust out, when heating or defogging is not desired. Turn the heating control to LOW. Turn blower fan to either FIRST, SECOND or THIRD speed, depending on the volume of air needed to keep out dust. Defogging - It is possible to use the heating system, to remove moisture from the air in the cab. This will prevent moisture from forming on the windshield and windows. Turn on the blower fan and adjust the heating control until moisture level is lowered, the temperature is comfortable and windshield and all windows are free of moisture.Canopy (If Equipped)
