Pedal Control Operated Machines Brake Pedal Applied - Push both brake pedals down simultaneously to apply the brakes, and slow or stop the machine. Use the brakes on a downgrade to keep the engine from overspeeding. Brake Pedal Released - Release the brake pedals to allow the machine to move, or increase ground speed.
