An improved lower dozer link needs to be installed on certain D6M VPAT Dozers. Under certain conditions, mud and debris packing in the C-frame can restrict the movement of the 1105231 Lower VPAT Dozer Link. Binding of the link can occur which results in excessive load and possible link breakage. A new, stronger link has been designed and is now available for installation.

Remove the bent or failed 1105231 Lower Link from the VPAT blade and C-Frame as per instructions found in Special Instruction SEHS9974.Install new 7J1309 Bearings, 1S3311 Retaining Rings, and 3B8489 Grease Fittings into the stronger 1523896 Link.Install the new link onto the machine.
