Entering a "Pager Callback Number" by using the Front Display Panel of the UPS
The "Pager Callback number" is the number of the telephone line that is connected to the UPS.

At the front display panel of the UPS, select "Menu / Settings / Pager Settings / Callback Number". Press the "Select" button on the display screen.The current number is displayed with the cursor over the first digit. If the number is being entered for the first time, the number will be displayed as blank spaces.The Up arrow button increases the current digit and the Down arrow button decreases the current digit.The Left arrow button moves the cursor by one digit to the left and the Right arrow button moves the cursor by one digit to the right.Care must be taken in order to ensure that there are no spaces that precede a number.Note: The "pager callback number" can only contain numeric digits.The following procedure is an example. The example is the entry of pager callback number of "5128361234". The pager callback number contains 10 digits.
Position the cursor to the farthest left digit in the LCD by using the Left arrow button.
Enter the telephone number without any spaces. If spaces are added the spaces will have no effect on the system.
Press the "Accept" button in order to store the number in flash memory.
Press "Home" in order to return to the Main Display screen.Setting Up the Pager Silence Interval
The Pager Silence Interval is the function that allows the paging service to complete the "Welcome Message" before the message for the numeric page is input.
From a telephone, dial the telephone number for the pager that was just setup in the system.
After the last digit is dialed, use a watch to count the number of seconds from the time the last digit is dialed to the end of the "welcome message".The following sentence is a typical automated "welcome message". You have reached an XYZ numeric pager. Enter the numeric message, and press the "Pound" key.
When the automated "welcome message" is complete, stop counting the seconds. Remember this number. The Pager Silence Interval is the number of seconds that were counted.
In UPS View, select "Enter Password" menu option in order to view the "Enter User Name / Password" dialog box.

Enter a valid "User Name" and then enter a valid Password.
After the password has been entered, the menu option will change. The menu bar will now contain a "Op. Params." option.
Select "Op. Group 6: Disable Auto Start / Pager Silence Interval" and enter the number of seconds that were counted in step 6.Testing the Configuration of the Pager from the Front Display Panel of the UPS
In order to test the configuration of the pager, select "Menu / Settings / Pager Settings / Cancel or Test Pager".The Display screen should display "Idle" for the state of the pager.
