Remove the bucket.
Remove quick coupler.
When you are using hydraulic cylinders and puller studs, always ensure that the rated capacity of the puller stud meets or exceeds the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder. If the puller stud does not meet or exceed the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder, a sudden failure of the puller stud could occur. The sudden failure of the puller stud could result in personal injury or death.
Cylinders equipped with lock valves can remain pressurized for very long periods of time, even with the hoses removed.Failure to relieve pressure before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder can result in personal injury or death.Ensure all pressure is relieved before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder.

Raise lift arm (1). Place Tooling (A) (not shown) under the end of lift arm (1) for support in a horizontal position.

Attach a suitable lifting device to the rod end of lift cylinder (2). The weight of lift cylinder (2) is approximately 57 kg (125 lb). Remove pin assembly (3). Use the suitable lifting device in order to lower the rod end of lift cylinder (2) away from lift arms (1) and onto suitable blocking. Repeat for the other side.

Disconnect hose assemblies (4). Cut all cable straps and disconnect harness assembly (5) Place harness assembly (5) to the side. Repeat on the opposite side.

Remove panel (6). Remove pin (7) and lower arm assembly (8).

Use a suitable lifting device and Tooling (B) to remove lift arm (1). The weight of lift arm (1) is approximately 907 kg (2000 lb). Remove exhaust extension (9). Remove bolts (10) and the retaining plate. Remove pin (11). The weight of pin (11) is approximately 24 kg (52 lb). Note: Note the number and the location of the shims for assembly purposes.

Remove bearing (12).

Use Tooling (C) in order to remove the lift arm bearing. Installation Procedure
Install lift arm (1) in the reverse order of removal.
Lower the temperature of the lift arm bearings . Use Tooling (C) to install the lift arm bearings.
Remove the bucket.
