Remove the axle shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Axle Shaft - Remove".

Attach Tooling (A), lifting chains and a hoist to the final drive, as shown. Remove 20 bolts (1) and the washers that secure final drive (2) to the wheel assembly.

Use two 1/2" - 13 NC forcing screws to remove final drive (2) from the wheel assembly. Remove final drive (2) and the O-ring seal from the wheel assembly. The final drive weighs 75 kg (165 lb).
