Drive the machine to a smooth, horizontal surface.

Move propulsion lever (2) to the NEUTRAL position.
Rotate speed dial (3) to the MINIMUM position.
Move parking brake switch (4) to the ON position.
Move screed lower switch (6) to the DOWN position. Lower the screed to the ground.
Move throttle control switch (5) to the LOW IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second.
After the engine reaches low idle, move engine start switch (1) to the OFF position.

Move key switch (7) to the OFF position.

Assemble the tooling.

In port "L2" of the left auger motor, disconnect fitting (11) from elbow (10) .Note: If the right auger motor is being tested, disconnect the fitting from the elbow in port "L1". The ports are labelled on the motor.
Connect Tool (B) to elbow (10). Connect fitting (11) to Tool (A) .
Disconnect fitting (9) from fitting (8) in port "A" of the left auger motor. Plug fitting (9) with Tool (G). Cap fitting (8) with Tool (H) .Note: If the right auger motor is being tested, disconnect the hose from the fitting in port "B". The ports are labelled on the motor.
Move key switch (7) to the ON position. Move engine start switch (1) to the START position. Release the engine start switch after the engine starts.
Move throttle control switch (5) to the HIGH IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second. The engine speed should increase to 2310 rpm.
Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature with Tool (L). Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches 43 5.6° (110 10°F).

Move left auger control switch (12) to the MANUAL position. Hold the switch in this position.Note: If the right auger motor is being tested, move right auger control switch (13) to the MANUAL position.
Read the flow on the Tool (F). The flow should be 15 17 L/min (4 4.5 US gpm).
Release auger control switch (12) .
Stop the engine. Refer to Step 6 through Step 8. Allow the hydraulic oil to cool.

Disconnect fitting (14) on the flushing line from elbow (15). Plug fitting (14) with Tool (J). Cap elbow (15) with Tool (K) .
Start the engine. Operate the engine at high idle.
Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature with Tool (L). Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches 43 5.6°C (110 10°F).
Move left auger control switch (12) to the MANUAL position. Hold the switch in this position.Note: If the right auger motor is being tested, move right auger control switch (13) to the MANUAL position.
Read the flow on the Tool (F). The flow should be less than or equal to 3.8 L/min (1 US gpm).
Release auger control switch (12) .
Stop the engine. Refer to 6 through Step 8. Allow the hydraulic oil to cool.
Remove the tooling. Reconnect the hydraulic lines to the auger motor.
If the flow is greater than the specification, the motor has excessive case drain flow, or the flushing orifice is plugged.
