Install the rocker arm assemblies onto the cylinder head.

Finally tighten bolt (11) through bolt (18) in a numerical sequence.Torque ... 450 20 N m (330 15 lb ft)Note: Tighten the bolt (19) through bolt (27) only after the cylinder head bolts have been given final torque.
Use any tightening sequence to tighten the bolt (19) through bolt (27) .Torque ... 47 7 N m (35 5 lb ft) (28) Tighten the taperlock studs into each cylinder head to the following torque. ... 35 5 N m (26 4 lb ft)

If equipped, use the following procedures in order to tighten the bracket for the fuel pump and the bracket for the timing cover to the cylinder heads:Note: Use clean engine oil to lubricate the threads of the bolts prior to installation.Note: Tighten the bolts only after the cylinder head bolts have been given final torque. (30) Use the following procedure to tighten the bolts:
Position the fuel pump brackets over the bolt holes that are in the cylinder head. Install the bolts (30) through the bracket. Finger tighten the bolts.
Remove the two bolts from the fuel pump in order to install the bolts (29) .
Align the fuel pump against the fuel pump brackets and install the bolts (29). Tighten the bolts to the standard torque.
Tighten the bolts (30) .Torque ... 44 7 N m (32 5 lb ft) (31) Use the following procedure to tighten the bolts:
Position the housing support over the bolt holes that are in the cylinder head. Install the bolts (31) through the supports. Finger tighten the bolts.
Install the timing gear housing to the supports and tighten the bolts to the standard torque.
Tighten the bolts (31) .Torque ... 44 7 N m (32 5 lb ft) (32) Install the cup plugs in the rear side of each cylinder head to the following distance. ... 4.3 0.8 mm (0.17 0.03 inch) (33) Install the cup plugs in the front and rear side of each cylinder head to the following distance. ... 2.5 0.8 mm (0.10 0.03 inch)
