Use Tooling (F) to install lip seal (14). Lubricate the lip with the lubricant that is being sealed.

Install bearing (13). Install lockwasher (12).
Install locknut (11). Use Tooling (E) to torque the locknut to 108 7 N m (80 5 lb ft). If necessary, increase the torque to align the slots.

Install shaft (9). Use Tooling (D) to install retaining ring (8).
Lubricate the bore for O-ring seal (10) with the lubricant that is being sealed. Install O-ring seal (10).

Install bearing (7) onto gear (5).
Use Tooling (C) to install retaining ring (6).

Install gear (5)
Install nut (4). Tighten nut (4) to a torque of 290 10 N m (214 7 lb ft). Tap the gear down with a hammer and torque nut (4) again to a torque of 290 10 N m (214 7 lb ft).

Measure the distance from the end of housing (15) to bearing (7). Dimension (X) is 6.6 0.5 mm (0.26 0.02 inch).

Install pulley (3).
Install studs (2). Tighten studs (2) to a torque of 30 5 N m (22 4 lb ft).
Install the washers and install nuts (1). Tighten nuts (1) to a torque of 47 9 N m (35 7 lb ft). End By:
