Follow the below procedure to troubleshoot the tamper feature on machines with the updated PL522 gateway software:
Ensure PL552 515-3070 Monitor Software Gp had been updated on machines.

Now follow the below procedure to connect harness assembly, 70-Pin connector, and CAN-2 resistor:

Connect Pin H-T1 (11) ( 514-7056 Control Harness As) to Pin 50 (17) of PL522 70-Pin connector.

Connect Pin H-T2 (6) ( 514-7056 Control Harness As) to Pin 34 (18) of PL522 70-Pin connector.

Find CAN-2 resistor in chassis harness beneath breaker box with two wires marked 252 and 262 as shown in Illustration 5.

Disconnect CAN-2 resistor with chassis connector.

Connect H-C1 (1) with CAN-1 resistor and H-C2 (13) with chassis connector respectively.Note: No need to install service tool if these two wires had been already installed on machines.Note: Troubleshooting using service tool to restore disabled or de-rate machine to normal operation or modify machine security levels.
Connect to the equipment service port connector using your Caterpillar Communication Adapter and follow the below mentioned procedure:Note: Cat® Electronic Technician (Cat ET) Service Tool 2016A is required for this troubleshooting.

Choose the "Product Link ECM" and click "Ok".

Once "ECM summary" page displayed, select "Switch Data Link" button.

Electronic Control Module (ECM) will be detected second time to switch data link.

Once "ECM summary" page displayed, dealer can restore disabled or de-rate machine to normal operation or modify machine security levels.Note: "Enter Factory password" page is different from former page.
