This voltage provides the main power source for the sidecutter ECM and also provides the wake-up signal. The sidecutter ECM is grounded at terminal "1".When the engine start switch is in the ON position and the machine main relay is energized, power transfers from propel/steer fuse (2) to contact "2" of propel lever (3) .CAN Communication
Sidecutter ECM (8) and propel lever (3) communicate through the CAN lines.Sidecutter Controls
Sidecutter ECM (8) monitors the signals from propel lever (3) in order to determine the status of the sidecutter control switches. When the machine determines that the sidecutter up switch is pressed, the sidecutter ECM energizes sidecutter up solenoid (5). When the machine determines that the sidecutter down switch is pressed, the sidecutter ECM energizes sidecutter down solenoid (6) .When the parking brake is engaged or the propel system is disabled, the sidecutter system is disabled.When propel lever (3) is moved out of the NEUTRAL position, the sidecutter is automatically raised for 2 seconds. The sidecutter is raised when the machine is reversed. When the sidecutter becomes the trailing sidecutter as determined by propel direction, the sidecutter is also raised for 2 seconds.When the propel system is shifted to roading mode and propel lever (3) is moved out of the NEUTRAL position, the sidecutter cannot be lowered.Sidecutter Spray Control
The sidecutter spray valve is controlled by sidecutter ECM (8). The sidecutter spray system only operates when the machine spray system is operating.Note: Refer to "Spray System" for additional information about the components and controls of the machine spray system.When the sidecutter is lowered, sidecutter spray solenoid (7) is energized. The spray solenoid will remain energized when the lower command is stopped.When the sidecutter is raised manually or raised automatically, sidecutter spray solenoid (7) is de-energized.
